この素晴らしい世界に祝福を！外伝　この素晴らしい世界に爆焔を！

Megumin trains obsessively in Explosion magic in the Crimson Demon Village while her rival Yunyun steadily progresses in conventional spellcasting, all a year before Kazuma ever reaches Axel. The story turns serious when Megumin's sister brings home a stray black kitten that turns out to be far more than it looks. This light novel of the Konosuba universe, also adapted into manga, centers entirely on Megumin before she ever joins Kazuma's party.
