Kaguya Shinomiya, vice president of Shuchiin Academy's student council and heir to a powerful conglomerate, and council president Miyuki Shirogane, the school's top-ranked student, are convinced the first to confess love loses. What follows is a daily war of psychological gambits — rigged scenarios, planted conversations, and elaborate traps — as each tries to maneuver the other into a confession. Secretary Chika Fujiwara, oblivious to the battle, regularly derails their schemes by sheer unpredictability.
