Synopsis
The immortal detective Aya Rindo is a disembodied, thousand-year-old head, carried from case to case by her devoted maid Shizuku Hasei, and she hires the half-oni demon slayer Tsugaru Shinuchi to help her find the body someone severed her from. The search takes the three of them out of Japan and across Europe, through a string of supernatural murders and hidden factions, toward a wealthy foreigner identified only by the letter on his cane. This is the original prose series that the manga and the 2023 anime both adapt.
