Struggling mangaka Ichirou Kuga is raising his younger siblings, Machi and Fumio, alone on a shrinking income when 19-year-old Shiori Goshiki takes the assistant job he badly needs filled. An accident soon after, when her hidden stinger grazes his hand, binds the two together in a way neither can undo, and Shiori admits she left her home in search of real love. Between looming deadlines and an apartment full of siblings, Ichirou has to figure out what to do with an assistant he now cannot survive without.
