Sasaki and Peeps

Sasaki's corporate job leaves him drained and lonely enough that he wanders into a pet shop on a whim and comes home with a Java sparrow he names Peeps. Peeps turns out to be Piercarlo, a powerful sage from another world hiding in bird form, who promptly hands Sasaki magic and the ability to travel between worlds. The two settle into a low-key trade business, importing household goods between realities, until Sasaki's new powers pull him into a supernatural conflict brewing back in Japan.
