Synopsis
Five novels carry Koyomi Araragi through his first year of university. Shinobumonogatari opens with girls from Naoetsu High School vanishing and turning up mummified, a case Koyomi takes on alongside the vampire Shinobu Oshino. Yoimonogatari puts him back with Mayoi Hachikuji, Amarimonogatari sends him to a professor's apartment with the child-shaped oddity Yotsugi Ononoki, and Ougimonogatari turns to the enigmatic Ougi Oshino. The two-volume Shinomonogatari closes the set, with a plague loose among oddities and Shinobu's old homeland on the itinerary.
