Synopsis
Kumiko Oumae gave up on music after a disappointing loss at the middle-school regional band competition, but her first year at Kitauji High School pulls her right back into it: the school's concert band, once a national contender, hasn't cleared regionals in years. Rejoining an ensemble that can't agree on how seriously to take itself, Kumiko finds herself facing someone she'd hoped to avoid: bandmate Reina Kousaka, a face from her own middle-school past. As the group tries to rebuild before the next competition, that history keeps resurfacing.
