After centuries as the oldest, strongest dragon alive, Dolan finally loses a fight to a human hero and dies, only to wake up reborn as an ordinary human in a quiet farming village. He settles into working the land and hunting for food, and for the first time in his long life he finds real warmth in the people around him, including his new friend Celina. That peace starts to crack when monsters begin massing near the village, and Dolan heads into the woods to find out why.
