Synopsis
In a near future where electric and fuel-cell cars have all but replaced gasoline engines, the underground MFG series keeps combustion racing alive for a shrinking pool of diehards. Kanata Rivington, competing under Katagiri, his Japanese father's surname, arrives in Japan chasing two goals at once: a spot among the MFG's top fifteen drivers, and the father who vanished before he was old enough to remember him. Both put him behind the wheel of a hand-me-down Toyota 86 GT against drivers who've spent years mastering tracks he's never driven.
