Koito Koganei works as the teenage shrine maiden at Takamimi Shrine, tending to a resident who's technically the shrine's goddess: an elf named Elda who was summoned to Japan four centuries ago and has been a complete indoor otaku ever since. Elda hasn't set foot past the shrine gate in sixty years, not since a boy once made fun of her ears, and she'd much rather stay in with her games than face the outside world. Koito spends her days coaxing the reluctant goddess out of her shell, one small outing at a time.
