High schooler Ruri Tanigawa has always loved jewelry, but it's a chance meeting on her first collecting trip with Nagi Arato, a graduate student in mineralogy, that pulls her into the science behind the stones she's admired for years. Between classroom scenes and hands-on looks at real minerals, Ruri starts learning what actually makes a gem a gem, joined by her classmate Shouko Seto and by Youko Imari, Nagi's friend and junior at university. The manga blends Ruri's growing curiosity with genuine geology.
