Looking for food while the rest of the crew searches for a way into the Grand Line, Monkey D. Luffy commandeers a pirate's ship and lands on a small island, where a girl named Silk attacks him on sight, mistaking him for the enemy she's been expecting. Once she realizes he isn't the pirate Gally, Silk feeds him and explains she'll defend the town no matter what, since it's all she has left. When Gally's crew shows up to shake the town down, Luffy and Silk team up against them. This OVA reworks the original Romance Dawn one-shot as an adventure that happens after the Thriller Bark arc.
