Transfer student Yumeko Jabami arrives at Hyakkaou Private Academy, where the social hierarchy runs on gambling — winners rule, and losers become servants. Unlike her classmates, who play to climb the ranks, Yumeko gambles purely for the thrill, matching wits with cheaters and upsetting the school's rigid pecking order. Her reckless streak catches the attention of the Student Council president Kirari Momobami, who sees in Yumeko a worthy opponent.
