Yuuta Togashi spent middle school deep in chuunibyou, the daydream phase where kids invent secret identities and imaginary powers for themselves, and swore off all of it before starting high school with a clean slate. That plan falls apart when Rikka Takanashi, a classmate still fully committed to her chuunibyou persona as the "Wicked Eye" bearer, corners him into a contract binding their fates together, dragging his carefully buried past right back into daily life.
