A cursed sword turns the Shinsengumi's hard-nosed vice-commander Hijikata Toushirou into a hopeless otaku just as the ambitious officer Itou Kamotarou moves to seize control of the corps. In a second arc, Gintoki's Yorozuya crew takes in the cheerful but secretly violent Pirako Doromizu, whose ties to the Kabukicho district's underworld leadership drag the group into a turf war. This theatrical compilation recuts the Shinsengumi Crisis and Kabukicho Four Devas manga arcs into two feature-length screenings.
