Inventor Senbei Norimaki builds Arale Norimaki, an android girl with superhuman strength, terrible eyesight, and even less common sense, then sets her loose on the eccentric Penguin Village. Schoolteacher Midori Yamabuki, fellow robot Gajira, and self-styled hero Suppaman get swept into Arale's escalating antics, since for her the village's most absurd inhabitants and events are just another ordinary school day.
