Sixteen students wake up trapped inside Hope's Peak Academy with Monokuma, a sadistic bear who lays out one rule: kill a classmate and get away with it, or stay locked in forever. Makoto Naegi, an ordinary student who won a lottery slot at the elite school, works the mystery alongside the sharp-eyed Kyoko Kirigiri while the unsettling Junko Enoshima needles the group toward paranoia. This manga adapts the original Danganronpa visual novel from the other students' perspectives, distinct from the separate Danganronpa: The Animation manga.
