Rentaro Satomi partners with Enju Aihara, a Cursed Child who carries both a parasitic Gastrea infection and enough of its power to fight the monsters threatening what's left of humanity. Working under Kisara Tendo at the Tendo Civil Security company, the two take on missions that edge toward a classified operation meant to keep Tokyo from being wiped off the map entirely. This is the original Black Bullet light novel series; the author has not resumed writing since 2014.
