Synopsis
Biker gang leader Shoutarou Kaneda rides through the neon sprawl of Neo-Tokyo, thirty-one years after a mysterious explosion leveled old Tokyo and triggered World War III. When his childhood friend Tetsuo Shima is caught in a military psychic-research accident, Tetsuo's body starts awakening powers the government has tried to contain since the war, and Kaneda gets pulled into stopping him before the same disaster repeats. This upcoming series adapts Katsuhiro Otomo's full manga, rather than the condensed 1988 film.
