Riko, a young Cave Raider apprentice in the town of Orth, lives at the edge of the Abyss — a vast vertical chasm filled with ancient relics and creatures that grow more dangerous with each descending layer. Her mother, the legendary White Whistle Lyza the Annihilator, vanished into the depths years ago. When Riko finds an amnesiac robot boy she names Reg and receives a message apparently from Lyza at the bottom, she and Reg begin their descent into a place where the Curse of the Abyss makes every step down harder to reverse.
