Kirito returns two years after the Sword Art Online incident to investigate a new augmented-reality game called Ordinal Scale, played through a headset device called the Augma instead of full-dive VR. When monsters from the original SAO start turning up inside that new game, he and Asuna Yuuki dig into a threat that blurs the line between the AR world and reality. This manga adapts the Ordinal Scale film's story into panel form.
