GREAT PRETENDER

Talented con artist Makoto Edamura crosses paths with the French swindler Laurent Thierry in Los Angeles, and the two become reluctant partners on a scheme to con a film producer with ties to drug trafficking. Edamura has to decide how far he can trust his new, far more ambitious associate as their plan unfolds. The manga retells the opening of the Great Pretender story, and its serialization stopped after three chapters when the artist's health forced a hiatus, leaving it unfinished.
