Office worker Yoshida gets turned down after finally confessing to his longtime crush and coworker, Airi Gotou, then stumbles home drunk to find a runaway high schooler, Sayu Ogiwara, on the street. He takes her in, giving her chores and a place to stay instead of the arrangements she'd been relying on to survive. Their unlikely cohabitation forces Yoshida to confront his own stagnant life even as he tries to do right by Sayu without crossing any lines.
