Eita Kidou has sworn off romance to focus on getting into medical school, a promise to himself after watching his parents' marriage collapse. That resolve barely survives his first week of high school: Masuzu Natsukawa, a striking transfer student just back from abroad, corners him into posing as her boyfriend to fend off a horde of suitors, and his childhood friend Chiwa Harusaki, who has feelings for him, refuses to accept the arrangement without a fight.
