Math whiz Kenji Koiso agrees to a part-time summer job for classmate Natsuki Shinohara that turns out to be posing as her fiancé at her great-grandmother's ninetieth birthday, held at the sprawling Jinnouchi family home in Nagano. While there, Kenji solves a strange numerical puzzle sent to his phone, not realizing it hijacks OZ, the virtual network the entire world depends on for banking, traffic, and communication.
