Synopsis
Oniwabanshū operative Makimachi Misao crosses paths with the wandering swordsman Kenshin Himura as he heads toward Kyoto to stop Makoto Shishio, the ruthless man who took over the Hitokiri role Kenshin left behind. This two-episode OVA compresses the manga's Kyoto arc into a tighter retelling with all-new animation. It follows Kenshin from his departure from Tokyo up to the edge of the coming battle with Shishio's forces.
