Izuku Midoriya and Class 1-A square off against Class 1-B in a Joint Training exercise at U.A. High, with Hitoshi Shinso — the mind-control Quirk user from the Sports Festival — joining the drills as a trial candidate for the Hero Course. Split into five four-person squads, Katsuki Bakugo, Shoto Todoroki, and their classmates test how far their Quirks have grown since last term. This fifth season continues directly from the previous season's events.
