Fourteen-year-old Renton Thurston cannot stand his mundane life until a mecha crashes into his grandfather's garage carrying Eureka, a girl who needs it repaired. This four-volume novelization follows the same setup as the TV series, with Renton joining Eureka aboard the Gekkostate, but reshuffles scenes and adds material absent from the anime and manga, giving each volume its own detours through Renton and Eureka's early days together.
