Synopsis
Renton and Eureka grow up together after his scientist parents take her in as a child. She cannot survive under direct sunlight, and he becomes the one person she trusts. When Eureka is taken from him, Renton enlists and eventually joins Unit 303 of the First Mobile Forces, piloting the bio-mechanical Nirvash to get her back. Their reunion lands him in the middle of a decades-long war against an alien force called the Eizo. This standalone film retells Eureka Seven's core relationship in an alternate continuity from the TV series, set in the year 2054.
