Shintarou Kisaragi hasn't left his room in two years, kept company only by Ene, a digital girl who lives inside his computer, until a spilled drink forces him out to buy a new keyboard. A terrorist attack at a department store that day throws him into the path of the Mekakushi Dan, a group of teenagers marked by red eyes and strange abilities tied to Shintarou's own past. Across eight volumes the story shifts narrators with each novel: Hibiya Amamiya, Momo Kisaragi, and the rest of the group take turns telling how their fates connect.
