Synopsis
The Tamako Love Story novel retells the film from two sides and adds one story of its own. The first stays with high schooler Tamako Kitashirakawa through her last year, her head full of mochi-shop business, as her childhood friend Mochizou prepares to leave for college in Tokyo, testing what neither of them has said out loud. The second follows her friend Midori Tokiwa through the same weeks. The third takes the fortune-teller Choi Mochimazzi back to the southern island, where the search for Prince Mecha's bride is still unfinished.
