Synopsis
Long before Redline reached theaters, Madhouse built this five-minute pilot to sell the film's world: an outlaw interstellar street race featuring the reckless driver JP alongside racers Sonoshee McLaren and Trava, with MachineHead Tetsujin's team gunning for the lead. Rather than reusing footage from the eventual movie, director Takeshi Koike built the pilot around its own original race, distinct from anything in the finished film. What survives is an earlier take on Redline's cast and racing style, made before the full production came together.
