Synopsis
A masked swordsman moves across Tokyo, Osaka, and Kyoto, killing members of the Genjibotaru, a gang that steals Buddhist statues under aliases borrowed from the retainers of Minamoto no Yoshitsune. When a Kyoto temple asks Kogoro Mouri to recover a missing statue by solving an old riddle, Conan Edogawa teams up with Heiji Hattori, who is also chasing a lead tied to the kidnapping of his childhood friend Kazuha Tooyama. As the puzzle points toward the temple's grounds, the killer strikes again before the case can be closed.
