A serial bomber threatens a J.League promotional event, taunting detective Kogoro Mouri with riddles built from kanji wordplay that hint at where each bomb is hidden. Conan Edogawa races to decode the clues before Kogoro's reputation and the event's safety both collapse, narrowing the suspects down to five people connected to the promotion. When the bomber escalates to the All-Star soccer match itself, rigging bombs that only a well-aimed shot on goal can defuse, Conan has to bring the players themselves into the deduction before the match becomes the next crime scene.
