Flandore's last surviving humans shelter inside glass domes, and only its aristocrats can manifest mana, the sole defense against the monsters outside. Kufa Vampir, an agent of the guild White Night, poses as a private tutor for Melida Angel, the Angel family's teenage heir, whose complete lack of mana has marked her as a possible imposter. Kufa's actual assignment is to confirm that suspicion and act on it, but Melida's stubborn effort to prove herself begins to complicate his resolve.
