Kino and her talking motorrad Hermes ride from country to country, staying exactly three days in each one before moving on, long enough to see what a place has built for itself and not long enough to be caught in it. Some of those countries are kind, some are cruel, and most are both at once, and every stop turns on the line the series keeps returning to: the world is not beautiful, and that is precisely why it is. This is the second manga adaptation of the Kino's Journey novels, running alongside an earlier version by a different artist.
