となりのトトロ

Sisters Satsuki and Mei move to a crumbling countryside house in 1950s Japan so their father, an archaeology professor, can be closer to the hospital where their mother is recovering from a long illness. Exploring the surrounding forests, four-year-old Mei stumbles upon Totoro, a massive, gentle forest spirit who sleeps beneath a towering camphor tree. Through Totoro, Satsuki and Mei meet the Catbus and the other spirits that share the woods around their new home while they wait for their mother to come home.
