This spin-off collects three stories built around Mikasa Ackerman and Annie Leonhart: an alternate timeline where Mikasa's parents survive and her bond with Eren Yeager takes a different shape, an account of Annie's stint in the Military Police before her mission to capture Eren, and an original story pairing the two women together during recruit training. All three stay within the world of Attack on Titan's early chapters, filling in corners the main story never stops to explore.
