At the Leon magic shop in the royal capital, veteran clerk Raul Chaser trains a new hire on inventory and customer service: ordinary work, except the new hire is Fino Bloodstone, the Demon Lord's own daughter. Raul's hero exams were cancelled when someone else defeated her father first, which is how he ended up behind a counter instead of out in the field.
