High schooler Makoto Niwa moves in with his aunt's household and meets his cousin Erio Touwa, who wraps herself in a futon, skips school entirely, and claims to be an alien marooned on Earth. Erio disappeared for six months before being found adrift at sea with no memory of it, and now she wanders the neighborhood living on pizza while looking for proof of the extraterrestrials she insists once reached out to her.
