Descending Stories: Showa Genroku Rakugo Shinju

昭和元禄落語心中

Fresh out of prison, an unnamed ex-convict tracks down Yakumo Yuurakutei, a rakugo master revered for his comic storytelling, and begs to become his student, something Yakumo has never once agreed to before. Nicknamed Yotarou, he moves into Yakumo's household alongside Konatsu, the daughter of Yakumo's late rival and closest friend, and starts training as the art form's popularity fades through the Showa era. As Yotarou grows into the household, old wounds tied to Yakumo and Konatsu's shared past start surfacing around him.
