High schoolers Naomi Katagaki and Ruri Ichigyou start out as opposites, he shy and she blunt, until a shared love of reading pulls them together over the books she never puts down. Naomi works up the nerve to confess, Ruri says yes, and soon after a lightning strike puts her in a coma. Told across three short episodes, this spin-off fills in the earlier life of the adult protagonist of the Hello World film, tied directly to the cast of the Hello World novel and manga.
