The light novel that started it all: game developer Akira Ono is transported into the body of his own MMO character, the demon lord Hakuto Kunai, right as the game's servers shut down for good. He takes in an orphaned girl, Aku, as his first companion and starts piecing together how to survive in the world he once only administered.
