Synopsis
Teenager Albert de Morcerf is dazzled by the mysterious Count of Monte Cristo when the two meet in Paris, unaware that the Count is quietly working through a decades-old plan targeting the city's aristocracy, Albert's own father included. Set in a far-future science-fiction Paris rather than the 19th-century one of the source, the story reworks Alexandre Dumas's The Count of Monte Cristo around Albert, Franz d'Epinay, and the Count's circle. This light novel is a prose version of the Gankutsuou anime.
