Set in the year 5053, in a Paris of aristocrats and space travel, this manga retells Alexandre Dumas's The Count of Monte Cristo with the enigmatic Count at its center. He arrives in society with his ward Haydée Tebelin and quickly fascinates the young viscount Albert de Morcerf, whose father is among the aristocrats the Count has spent decades preparing to ruin. This manga is an adaptation of the Gankutsuou anime.
