Two shorter stories fill in the childhoods behind Junjou Romantica: in one, Akihiko Usami moves in across the street from Hiroki Kamijou and the pair spend their days in a hideout of their own, years before the rivalry and affection that define their adult relationship take shape; in the other, a younger Misaki Takahashi grows up alongside his older brother Takahiro. Neither half continues the main series' romances, and both look back at how its cast started out.
