Synopsis
Yuusuke Makishima and Jinpachi Toudou were not always the third-year aces leading Sohoku and Hakone Gakuen. Three interlocking flashbacks return to Makishima's first year on the Sohoku racing team, where his strange dancing climb drew scorn from his seniors, and to the middle-school race that first pulled Toudou into road cycling. The film gathers the early rides and rivalries that shaped the riders now heading into the Inter-High, drawing on the manga's own side-story arcs rather than new material.
