In Stern Bild City, where superpowered NEXT individuals have existed for 45 years, being a hero means competing on the TV show Hero TV for sponsor points and rankings. Veteran hero Kotetsu T. Kaburagi, better known as Wild Tiger, has slid down the rankings and lost his sponsor, forcing him into an uneasy partnership with the polished rookie Barnaby Brooks Jr. This manga adapts the TV anime's story of two mismatched heroes, one led by instinct and the other by calculation, learning to work as a team.
