Naruto Uzumaki joins Kakashi, Sakura and Rock Lee on what starts as a routine job escorting Michiru, prince of the Land of the Moon, and his son Hikaru home from a world tour, complete with an entire circus troupe Michiru buys for the boy, saber-toothed tiger included. They arrive to find the throne taken: a minister named Shabadaba has seized power with hired ninja and struck down the king. Getting the prince his kingdom back falls to Team Kakashi. This light novel retells the third Naruto film.
