My Roommate is a Cat

同居人はひざ、時々、頭のうえ。

Reclusive mystery novelist Subaru Mikazuki, who lost his parents and finds people mostly a nuisance, takes in a stray tuxedo cat he names Haru, hoping she'll spark ideas for his next book. The manga splits its perspective between them: Subaru studies Haru's odd habits for material, while Haru, used to fending for herself and her siblings on the street, tries to make sense of this quiet, awkward human. Neither speaks the other's language, but they slowly find their way to a shared routine.
